Welcome to Homemade Pirogi

We've now been making pirogi at our new location, 1295 Main Ave. in Clifton, NJ since April 2004, after the fire that destroyed our old building at 560 Lexington Ave.

We are now a block and a half from the White Castle,
directly across from De Luxe Cleaners, and next door to
the Scheidemann Real Estate Agency. We have the same phone number as before, 973-340-0340. You'll find links below for driving directions and our menu. There is also a link to the very excellent Google map to our address on the DIRECTIONS TO HOMEMADE PIROGI page.

PARKING! If there is no parking in front of the building, just go into the driveway next to the Scheidemann Agency, and park behind our building.  After you park,  walk down the driveway and enter the store
through the front.

We have 18 varieties of pirogi, the largest selection that we know of. They're made from scratch...we use unbleached, unbromated flour and fresh eggs for the dough, and our delicious fillings are all prepared on premises using the finest ingredients available. This is our 34th year in business, and we are fortunate to have a large and loyal customer base.

We try to make the best pirogi we can each and every day, no short cuts, no skimping. For this reason, we are often sold out of one or more varieties, so it's a good idea to call ahead to see if we have what you would like.

Our normal business hours are Monday 10am until 5:30, Tuesday to Friday from 7am until 5:30pm, and Saturday, from 10am until 4pm, but the hours do vary, especially the opening times. From late July until early September we open at 10am.  Mondays we often open at 10am, so please call to make sure we're there before making the trip.

We also sell to commercial accounts, so if you have a business or there is a store near you in NJ that you would like to stock our pirogi, please call me, Mike at 973-340-0340. If you need directions, we can get you to our place easily from almost anywhere. Just go to the driving directions page, or call us from the road if you get lost. We hope to see you in the near future.
